How do I connect the Strap Handle to the axle and the board?
• Install the wheels on the axle and install the pins
• Strap handle: (see picture on the other side) There is a loop end and mesh/handle end
• Wrapping the strap around the middle of the axle and pull the mesh end through the loop
• Pull it tight and lay strap handle system down with the handle end out slighting longer than your board
• Lay the tail of the board with the fin up on the axle over the top of the strap handle system
• Install the bungee on both sides of the frame, leaving room to stretch the bungee over the fin
• Hold the fin and lift the bungee over the board’s fin and do not drag the bungee over the fin
• Board’s tail should be pushed tightly into the frame without the wheels touching the side of the board
• Buckle the mesh piece to wrap around the nose of the board and adjust the mesh straps
• Turn the whole thing on its side and find the length adjustment buckle in the middle of the board
• Adjust the length so the mesh pulls tight on the nose of the board
• The nose of the board should be as close to the end of the mesh as possible without going over
• It may be necessary to have to adjust the straps on the mesh to fit the nose of the board
• Initial installation may require several adjustments (mesh strap and length strap) to ensure proper fit to
your board prior to initial use (See our web site for more instructional videos)

How to install the bungee?
Hook the bungee on the frame with the S-hooks through the holes on the frame. If your model does not come with the s-hooks then connect the holes in the bungee with the hook on the frame. These pictures below shows the standard bungee routing around the frame and fin. The alternate routing goes trough the frame then around fin. This method is used when the fin sits far back on the board and is close to the frames arch. This is more likely to be used with the Classic-X and Evolution-X models.

How do I connect the SUP Wheels Evolution to the bike?

How to stop the board from sliding down and touching the back wheel of the bike? THIS IS FOR THE OLDER VERSION OF THE STRAP HANDLE
If the board nose starts to slip down the mesh then the board could touch the back wheel of the bike. The cause of this is slack in the line between the buckle at the "Y" and the locking tab. The tab and the buckle should be about at least 8 inches apart (14cm) and the webbing pulled tight. This will lock the board in place. If you already have the nose mesh on the nose of the board and you need to remove the slack. The easiest way to correct this is remove the unbuckle the nose mesh and then tighten the webbing and reattached the nose mesh. Extra hold can be achieved by wrapping the extra webbing around the lock tab and tying a knot. This is good for extra-long bike rides. If the unit is not pulled tight into the frame by the webbing this may cause your SUP Wheels not to stay straight and wheels touch your board. Too much of the mesh is hanging down. Wrap a cam/tie-down strap or bungee cord around that part of the board and the mesh. You can also use a safety pin to hold it all together. |
Will SUP Wheels ® work on the beach (on sand)?
YES, SUP Wheels ® will roll on the beach and on the sand. See videos on the video page.
Will SUP Wheels ® work with inflatable SUP boards?
YES, SUP Wheels ® will work with most inflatables boards that have a tapered tail.
Will SUP Wheels ® work with a roto-molded boards (plastic that is also used to make kayaks)?
At this time we do not have a model to work with these crossover kayak type paddle boards.
Don’t I need fat blow-up tires to work on the beach or sand?
We have eliminated the drawbacks to pneumatic (air or tube) tire wheels. Pneumatic tires require air to be pumped back into the tire up every time you use them. By utilizing the largest wheels in the industry, the 14 inches (35.5 cm) solid rubber tire wheel will roll over sand and over just about any rough terrain. When you get a flat with a pneumatic tire it is going to be when you are trying to transport your board back home from the water. Now you have to carry your board and your wheel system.
Will I need to assemble SUP Wheels ® or need tools?
No assembly required and no tools required.
Will SUP Wheels ® roll over a standard curb or rocks?
The advantage of the 14 inch (35.5 cm) wheels is that they will roll up or down over a standard curb and other obstacles. Other carriers with small blow up wheels can’t go up over a curb without you picking up the whole board with the wheels still attached. If you wanted to do that much work you wouldn’t use a SUP carrier.
Do I need a suction cup handle like I have seen on other systems?
The Evolution model has a handle built into the system. We don’t recommend you put a suction cup handle on your board due to delimitation issues.
